Clarissa Janeen is the illustrator of the picture book The Squirrel and the Moon by Jacob Haffner. Her writing and illustrations have been published across several literary magazines. She has also edited literary magazines, picture books, and novels. She has a BFA in Creative Writing with a minor in Illustration and an MFA in Popular Fiction Writing and Publishing. Clarissa Janeen is the illustrator of the picture book The Squirrel and the Moon by Jacob Haffner. Her fiction, poems, creative nonfiction, and illustrations have been published in Alethia, The Dazed Starling, Page Turner Magazine, and Stork Magazine. She has also edited literary magazines, picture books, and novels. She has a BFA in Creative Writing with a minor in Illustration from California Baptist University and an MFA in Popular Fiction Writing and Publishing from Emerson College. When she's not working on a book, Clarissa enjoys fantasy RPGs, board games, and attending renaissance faires. She also sings in a choir and has a background in the performing arts. Clarissa Janeen is a freelance fiction editor and leads a Speculative Fiction Read & Critique Group with San Diego Writers Ink. She has worked with literary agents at Folio Literary Management and edited for The Dazed Starling, 72 Hours of Insanity, and Page Turner Magazine. In her freelancing career, she has helped 10+ authors with 15+ titles. She has a BFA in Creative Writing from California Baptist University and an MFA in Popular Fiction Writing and Publishing from Emerson College. Her writing and illustrations have been published across several literary magazines and she illustrated The Squirrel and the Moon by Jacob Haffner.
