Illustrator Bio (short)

 

Clarissa Janeen is the illustrator of the picture book The Squirrel and the Moon by Jacob Haffner. Her own writing has been published across a handful of literary journals. She has a BFA in Creative Writing with a minor in Illustration and an MFA in Popular Fiction Writing and Publishing. She lives in San Diego, CA with her husband and two cats. Clarissa Janeen is the illustrator of the picture book The Squirrel and the Moon by Jacob Haffner. Her own fiction, poems, and creative nonfiction have been published in Alethia, The Dazed Starling, and Page Turner Magazine. She has a BFA in Creative Writing with a minor in Illustration from California Baptist University and an MFA in Popular Fiction Writing and Publishing from Emerson College. When she's not working on a book, Clarissa enjoys fantasy video games, TTRPGS, board games, and attending renaissance faires. She also sings in a choir and has a background in the performing arts. Clarissa Janeen is a freelance fiction editor and leads a Speculativ e Fiction Read & Critique Group with San Diego Writers Ink. She has worked with literary agents at Folio Literary Management, editors from a variety of journals, and helped 10+ authors with 15+ titles. She has a BFA in Creative Writing from California Baptist University and an MFA in Popular Fiction Writing and Publishing from Emerson College. Her writing has been published in Alethia, The Dazed Starling, and Page Turner Magazine.
